Kendall Francis Schmidt (born November 2, 1990) is an American actor and singer-songwriter; he is best known for playing Kendall Knight in Big Time Rush and has played small roles on different TV shows such as ER, Without a Trace, Phil of the Future, Ghost Whisperer, and Frasier. He made two very special appearences on Miller Production, the pilot and the near end of season/or/series finale.

Kendall was born in Wichita, Kansas. At Wesley medical center to Kent and Kathy Schmidt. He is the youngest of three; his brothers are Kenneth and Kevin. Kendall first started acting because of his two older brothers who wanted to start acting. That was when the Schmidt family moved to California. Kendall started singing at the age of 5. His first band he was in was called Lovers Make Liars but was apart of the band for less than a year due to booking a leading role in Big Time Rush. Kendall was the last actor to be cast and the show even filmed a pilot episode that did not contain his character. He currently plays "Kendall Knight" on the show.

Kendall has started working on a side project called 'Heffron Drive', with friend and fellow musician, Dustin Belt. The duo named their group after the street they both lived on. Heffron Drive is a rock/electro/alternative band whose influences include Taking Back Sunday and Incubus. When Kendall is on tour with BTR, Dustin plays guitar in their backup band.
